This was such a fun day in the city of David, even though we
had a midterms that afternoon, it was fun to forget everything for a bit and go
on a field trip! I seriously had a blast with all my friends in the Schade
class! I really love all the students, teachers, and leaders we have here. They
are all amazing! I love it.

Another thought that I had about the story of David is that
idea of wrong place, wrong time. I think that when have the spirit to be with
us the Lord will lead us to the places that we are supposed to be. So in
context we the story of David, I don’t think that his just seeing Bath-sheba
would have made him do what he did, but I think he must have already been
drifting away from the Lord. And then he was tempted and he could not resist.
Just a random thought.
Richard G Scott said the following…
"We become what we want to be
by consistently being what we want to become each day."
So it is a daily struggle…we need to do all we can everyday
to be close to the Savior and be striving to be the person we want to be
everyday. I realized this is so true once you stop putting the Lord first thing
become out of order. You have to put the Lord first and I have found that means
doing the daily things like scripture study, daily prayers, and always trying
to be like Jesus as easy as that sounds I have found it to be true in my life.

The Next thing we did was go to Hezekiah's Tunnels…This was soooo
fun!!
So background of Hezekiah’s tunnels are that they were build
by Hezekiah in 701 BC because he wanted to protect the city water source or
supply (Gihon Water System) from being overtaken if the city was ever attacked.
The crazy thing about this tunnel is that is only has a very slight angle to make the water flow into the city. (I
forgot what the angle was.) To get through the tunnel, we got to lift up our skirts and go through single file, it took about 45 minutes to get through the whole thing. At one
point in the tunnel the water was up to my upper thigh. It was really hot that
day, so the opportunity to get in the water was really nice relief from the heat.
